The Elmira Sugar Kings are saddened to share the passing of long time trainer Gary Schaefer. Gary served as the team’s trainer for 32 years, worked 1, 472 games, 1600 practices and too many injuries to count. Gary’s pride and dedication to the Sugar Kings will be remembered by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
